growing up my family has always said, "rabbits, rabbits, rabbits" on the first of every month. my dad told it was a british tradition, but while living in london, no one else had ever heard of it. whatever it is, it's a tradition i love.
so, this morning, when i woke up to a sweet e-mail from carol ann wishing me "rabbits, rabbits, rabbits" for july it left the biggest smile on my face. no matter how old you are, mom's are the very very best.
ps. i know, i know, zebras and rabbits are apples and oranges, but this picture is too much.

ReplyDeletemy wife's family is from indiana, and they have the same rabbit rabbit tradition, but this was a busy week (with K. + daughter preparing for a trip to paris), so we all forgot to say it.

I read a book where the characters did this, I'd never heard of it before!
ReplyDeleteLove hearing about others' family traditions. I hope I can be as fun & thoughtful when I have kids!
